What's Going On?

A lot has happened since the last edition of the newsletter went out. Another year has come and gone. Robert is a year older.So are Doug and Susan, but we won't get into that. The last piece of furniture from John's childhood has left the house and was replaced by a smaller dining table. The chairs have been re-upholstered and the next project is to remove the carpet from the dining room and hallway and replace it with a "floating" wood floor. Of course, this means repainting the rooms and replacing the curtains and drapes.Can you say KA-CHING!

It looks as if the Sutherland family will be riding in style. With a vehicle that seats 7, does this mean an increase
in tax deductions is looming on the horizon?

New Friends

The prolific email capabilities that Susan has displayed provided us with two new friends of the family. Susan regularly writes and receives email from Irina Osatanina and Tim Iyiegbu. Irina lives in St. Petersburg, Russia and Tim hails from Nigeria, Africa.

Pistachio Bundt Cake

1 package (18-1/4 ounces) yellow cake mix
3 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant pistachio pudding mix
1 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
2 to 3 tablespoons milk

In a mixing bowl, combine dry cake and pudding mixes, water, oil and eggs. Beat on low speed for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 9-in. fluted tube pan.

Bake at 350° for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Combine the glaze ingredients; drizzle over cake. Yield: 10-12 servings.
